Asbestos awareness training provides the participant with a general knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with asbestos. The course is three to four hours in duration and provides important information on asbestos for workers, building managers, realtors and the general public. The course provides useful information regarding exposure and potential exposure to asbestos containing products often found in the workplace and or in the home.
Through classroom lecture, videos, group discussions and practical experience students will learn the health hazards, asbestos related legislation, the risks associated with direct and incidental exposure to asbestos, and the basics of abatement procedures employed for the removal of asbestos containing material (ACM).
