Asbestos Awareness Training – Online – 2 Hours
This asbestos awareness training course provides information and awareness for those who are living and/or working in occupied buildings where asbestos containing building materials (ACMs) are present and renovations are planned that may disturb those ACMs.
The course meets WorkSafeBC mandatory training requirements for asbestos awareness level and has been established to provide asbestos awareness to individuals and companies that encounter asbestos materials during typical work related duties. This can include service contractors, maintenance staff, realtors, building managers, and property managers to list a few. This course is work at your own pace, online and will provide you with an asbestos awareness certificate following a successful passing mark of the asbestos awareness quiz.

Hazardous Materials Building Inspector Training Course (HMBI)

Antiquity’s newly developed HMBI course was developed by a Qualified Person (as per Worksafe BC Definition) Trevor Getty, CIH, ROH, CRSP, CPHI (c) and his team of safety professionals. Our course includes regulatory content and guidelines related to asbestos, lead, mould, and underground storage tanks as well as other potential work exposure concerns inspectors may encounter when conducting hazardous materials inspections.
This course provides participants with the knowledge, understanding, competency and skills necessary to complete Work Safe BC compliant Hazardous Materials Building Inspection Reports for residential and commercial buildings undergoing renovations and demolition.

- Review of WorkSafe BC bulk sampling guidelines and required work safe documents

- Safety considerations & personal protection equipment (PPE requirements)
- Walk through survey and site safety
- Develop sampling plan for bulk sampling
- Hands on bulk sampling techniques for asbestos and lead
- Collect bulk samples for laboratory analysis
- Chain of Custody forms

Hazardous Materials Building Inspector Refresher Course

This 4 hour course is developed to re-certify students as Hazardous Materials Building Inspectors (HMBI)

- Discussion of any new and existing Building Inspection WorkSafeBC regulations or guidelines
