CONFINED SPACES | video gallery

These videos are for informational purposes only.  Antiquity works with Agsafe to provide consulting on safety and confined spaces on farms. You can reach out to Antiquity for more information and pricing on identifying confined spaces and assessing them.

A confined space is any enclosed or partially enclosed area that’s large enough for a worker to enter and perform work, but is not designed for continuous human occupancy and has limited or restricted entry and exit. These spaces are not always obvious.

In British Columbia, employers are responsible to ensure the health and safety of their workers. This includes identifying confined space hazards in the workplace and taking the necessary steps to protect workers. Identifying and creating an inventory of confined spaces at your workplace is the first step to reducing the risks associated with confined space hazards.

These informational videos are to help you understand the importance of identifying confined spaces, labelling and securing them to prevent mistaken or unauthorized entry.

Identifying these spaces protects not just the worker entering, but the entire team around them.

A hazard assessment is required for all confined spaces in the workplace and they must be prepared by a qualified person. A qualified person for confined space entry, as defined by Worksafe BC, is someone with adequate training and experience in recognizing, evaluating, and controlling confined space hazards. Avoid entry altogether if possible, But when work must be done in the identified space, we turn to a qualified person.

Reach out to Antiquity Environmental Consulting Ltd to schedule a confined space assessment. We are qualified professionals in developing HIRA (Hazardous Identification, Risk Assessment) entry and work procedures to ensure the safety of workers and WorkSafe BC compliance.
