Level 1 Foundations Asbestos Awareness – Online Virtual Course with Live Instructor

This 4 hour Level 1 Foundations asbestos awareness training course provides information and awareness for those who are living and/or working in occupied buildings where potential asbestos containing building materials (ACMs) may be present.

This Level 1 Course is authorized by WorkSafeBC and meets the requirements for Level 1 Foundational Awareness

This Level 1 Foundations Awareness, asbestos awareness level course and has been established to provide asbestos awareness to individuals and companies that could encounter asbestos materials during typical work related duties. This can include service contractors, maintenance staff, realtors, building managers, and property managers to list a few. This course is online with live instructor through zoom and will provide you with an asbestos awareness certificate following a successful passing mark (80%) of the Level 1 asbestos awareness quiz. Completion of this course also enables you to take the WSBC Level 1 certificate exam. The WSBC exam is not included and can be purchased seperately.

Level 1 Certifcate is required for those that:

• transport asbestos - containing materials
• Dispose of asbestos - contaning waste

Level 1 course is also recommended for those who do not need a certificate but who would benefit from general asbestos safety knowledge. For example, if you sometimes encounter asbestos-containing materials during your work (e.g., electricians, plumbers, HVAC contractors, flooring contractors) but are not an abatement worker, taking Level 1 training can help you learn how to work safely around asbestos.
